Project DescriptionFiona undertook the design and construction of an ‘off-the-grid’ parking lot in consultation with the Westside Boating Community. Her parking lot design provided safer circulation, defined and more efficient parking stalls and a reduction in dust problems from the previously unpaved gravel surfacing. No stormwater sewer connection was available, so Fiona incorporated an infiltration swale and graded the site away from Okanagan Lake, allowing surface water run-off to collect in the swale & infiltrate naturally.Project Date: August 2003 Client: RDCO Parks & Recreation and the Westbank Yacht Club |
