Project Description

The former Westbank Elementary School site was acquired at a cost of $1.5 million dollars by the RDCO on September 2006 for community park purposes. Fiona was responsible for the completion of a full set of tender drawings for a landscape construction contract that involved the installation of a new irrigation system, site grading, a gravel perimeter trail and a reconfigured parking area.

She also completed a phase 2 application for a $200,000.00 BC Spirit Squares Grant inclusive of ‘shelf-ready’ construction drawings. If the application to the provincial government is successful, additional park amenities of a community garden, fenced dog exercise area, sculpture garden and park pavilion will be installed.
