Project Description
Fiona undertook a park planning and design with the developer of Tallus Ridge for the incorporation of the 5% parkland dedication requirement as per Section 941 of the Local Government Act. Fiona’s proposed park concept involved the incorporation of a linear park corridor with enlarged neighbourhood park nodes to accommodate passive seating areas, playground equipment and informal turf areas.
In addition to the parkland dedication requirement, Fiona created a Parkland Provision and Development Servicing Agreement in order to accommodate the developer’s wishes to fully develop portions of the park parcels in conjunction with the first phase of their development. To date, two of the linear park parcels have been built by the developer.
