Kim German

BLA, Landscape Technologist, avid video gamer

Kim grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba before moving to Ontario to study Landscape Architecture at the University of Guelph. Four years later, she was eager to start a career in what had quickly become her passion. She moved out to Kelowna, in the beautiful Okanagan to apply her skills to the diverse landscape of British Columbia. Kim is well-prepared in her position with Outland Design. She has an understanding of how landscape architecture is practiced both countrywide and internationally, living in many places across Canada and traveling as far as Australia to spend 6 months in Adelaide on an educational exchange. Her experiences working in several garden centers have provided her with knowledge of a wide range of tree, shrub, and perennial plant species.

Through her university career, she became proficient with several computer design programs and developed exceptional hand-graphic skills. She has been effective at working at all levels of the design process and producing designs quickly.

When she is not working hard at Outland Design, Kim loves to spend time outside roller-blading, snowboarding, or relaxing at the beach. She is also an avid reader and enjoys playing video games.
