Fiona Barton

MBCSLA, CSLA Senior Landscape Architect, toddler wrangler

A registered member with the BC Society of Landscape Architects, Fiona has a wealth of expertise in private practice and local government settings, allowing her to see the perspective from ‘both sides of the table’. She hails from Scotland originally, and has practiced landscape architecture in Boston, Newfoundland, Ontario and Vancouver. Since 2001, Fiona has called the interior of BC home.

Fiona is the first point of contact for Outland Design clients, and as client liaison relishes the opportunity to get to know clients and how, together with her team, she can assist them in achieving their project goals. Fiona has extensive experience in site specific design and landscape architectural construction projects and will problem solve diligently to ensure that your project deliverables integrate both creative and pragmatic design solutions.

When not acting in her roles as chief cook and bottle washer at Outland Design, Fiona can be found on her living room floor playing with her kids, pleasantly remembering the days when she had time to run marathons and hike the West Coast Trail!
